Ella Eastin is an American medley specialist from Orange County, California. Eastin comes from a family of outstanding athletes. Her father Jeff, played college and international professional basketball, her grandfather was drafted in baseball and her grandmother was one of the first female professional golfers. Her younger sister also swam at the University of Michigan.

Eastin fell in love with the sport at age six with the help of her first coach Todd Larson. He taught her and her sister every stroke and instilled in them the passion for the sport. In 2010, Larson died after a year-long battle with Leukemia. Eastin said he was the motivation for her to keep swimming and pursuing challenges that set her soul on fire.

Representing SoCal Aquatics and Crean Lutheran High School, Eastin broke numerous National Age Group and Independent High School Records. She committed to Stanford University and began her record-breaking college career in 2015.

During her time at Stanford, Ella won 12 NCAA titles, was a part of three NCAA Championship winning teams, and set many records. She holds American and NCAA records in the 200-yard Butterfly, 200-yard Individual Medley, 800-yard Freestyle Relay, 400-yard Individual Medley. She was the first woman to win four consecutive National titles in the 400-yard Individual Medley.

Eastin graduated from Stanford University in 2019, and began pursuing a professional swimming career. She represented the Los Angeles Current in the inaugural season of the International Swimming League. While preparing for Olympic Trials, she endured a long health battle with Dysautonomia, putting a pause on her swimming goals.

Ella is pursuing a career in medicine, determined to use her experiences to be an empathetic and driven physician. She loves staying connected to the swimming community that gave her so much, and is excited to continue sharing her story.
